Speaking out against autism
Autism Speaks receives first check from Nikken

The Nikken TriPhase™ Sport Bracelet looks and feels good, and on Tuesday, it allowed Nikken to do good, with a $51,594 donation from sales of the bracelet to Autism Speaks — a leading autism advocacy group dedicated to funding biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for the fastest growing developmental disorder in the United States.

Nikken created a sponsorship agreement with Autism Speaks at the North America Convention in October, and committed to giving a portion of the revenue from the TriPhase Sport Bracelet to the organization. Autism is diagnosed in 1 in 166 people each year, and through our contribution, Nikken has the potential to make a difference for millions of people around the world.

“This kind of contribution can make a huge difference,” said Bret Prichard, Vice President of Development for Autism Speaks — Cure Autism Now.  “Every dollar we receive helps us with our research efforts, and helps us continue to search for a cure for autism.” For Nikken, it’s an example of how we are putting our Healthy Society Pillar into action. “The 5 Pillars of Health are values that drive everything we do,” said Nikken President Bob Richards. “Teaming up with Autism Speaks perfectly fits in with what we stand for.”
