Tips for doing business:

  • Before sponsoring or conducting Nikken business in Mexico, it is the distributor's responsibility to research and comply with all immigration, visa, and registration rules, tax requirements and other due demands of Mexico.
  • Any individual of legal age, legally residing in Mexico, needs to obtain an RFC number to be a Nikken Distributor.
  • Distributors must provide their customers with a retail receipt (FACTURA) specifying the distributors RFC number.
  • A distributor may sponsor eligible individuals (including foreigners with an "FM-2" or "FM-3" visa) who reside in Mexico to become Nikken Independent Distributors.
  • RFC Numbers: Distributor must obtain an RFC number, as well as tax invoices (FACTURA) prepared by a government authorized printer for use in their business. Tax invoices must show the distributor's RFC number. A person can be signed up as a distributor without an RFC number; however, he or she is not eligible to receive a bonus check until he or she provides Nikken de Mexico, S. A. de C. V. with a copy of his or her RFC card and number.
  • Tax Invoices: A bonus statement will be first mailed to distributors. Upon receipt of these statements, distributors will be required to mail a tax invoice to Nikken de Mexico. When the tax invoice is received, the commission payment will be delivered. Bonus will not be paid until this required documentation is received.
  • Value Added Tax: Mexico has a 15% Value Added Tax (VAT is called IVA in Mexico). On wholesale sales, the VAT is assessed on the value of the product, as well as on its shipping charge, and is shown separately for those distributors with RFC numbers on their invoice. If the distributor does not have an RFC number, the VAT will be included in the wholesale price and the shipping fee. The VAT will not be shown separately in this case. On retail sales, the VAT is automatically included in the retail price
